The Dangerous Journey Across the Mediterranean
The dangerous journey across the Mediterranean is a dramatic reality for many African youths. They risk their lives to reach Europe.
The journey across the Mediterranean involves considerable dangers:
1. Overcrowded boats
2. Health risks
3. Psychological stress
As an African youth welfare association, it is our job to raise awareness of the risks. We organize information events in various communities. The aim is to educate young people and their families about the dangers of crossing the Mediterranean.
Our Mission
The African Vision for Development Association Promotion of youth development aid in Ethiopia, implementation of projects in health, agricultural technologies and education in the digital transformation.
The association helps refugees from Africa who live in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Our goal is to promote the integration of these people and solve their everyday problems, while at the same time supporting cultural exchange between the different communities.
The challenges in everyday life are great for many refugees. Language barriers, finding accommodation and access to education or employment are just some of the issues they face. Our association offers various forms of support to help them overcome these challenges. These include individual counselling, information events and assistance with dealing with the authorities. Through direct and personal contact, we want to gain the trust of the refugees and offer them a safe place to turn to.
To this end, we regularly organise workshops that deal with different African cultures. These workshops not only provide an opportunity to get to know the culture of the refugees better, but also to break down prejudices and raise awareness of the beauty of diversity.
